​In this talk, Yumei Feng will share her journey from working on structured, client-driven design projects in consulting to navigating the fast-paced, ambiguous world of AI startups.

​She will reflect on what changed, what stayed the same, and the key lessons I’ve learned about adapting, problem-solving, and designing in emerging technologies.

​​👤 About Yumei Feng

​Yumei Feng is a Senior Product Designer at Orby AI, where she helped build the company's agentic workflow platform from the ground up, designing human-in-the-loop experiences for enterprise automation. Previously she worked at Deloitte and interned at SoFi and DiDi Global. She holds a Bachelor's in Cognitive Science with a focus on Design and Interaction from UC San Diego and is passionate about making complex AI products clear, trustworthy, and engaging.
