Intro to Birdwatching
Join LA Trailkillers x Outdoor Adventures+ x Nature’s Palette, on their first collaboration, for a slow and grounding morning inside one of Los Angeles’ hidden ecological sanctuaries. This beginner friendly birdwatching experience invites you to wander through shaded pathways, freshwater wetlands, and riparian habitat as the basin comes alive with birdsong and movement. Together, we’ll explore a refuge along the Pacific Flyway where local birds and migratory species find food, shelter, and rest among the reeds and willows. We’ll practice noticing the subtle details, calls echoing through the trees, silhouettes overhead, sudden flashes of color, and the quiet rhythms of urban wildness thriving in the heart of the city. Come with curiosity. Leave hearing the city differently.
