DCG-SATX September Meetup
We’re excited to welcome back Draggr, who previously lit up the fire talk stage with a vulnerability he discovered in a web app. This time, he’s stepping up to the main stage for a full-length talk!
🎤 Draggr presents: "A Look at the Gayfemboy Malware"
Yes, you read that right. Our September featured talk will take you deep into the evolution of one of the most strangely named - and surprisingly impactful - malware variants making headlines: Gayfemboy.
Gayfemboy is a recent variant of the infamous Mirai botnet, with global reach and cross-industry impact. In this talk, Draggr will break down:
🔹 What Mirai is and how it works
🔹 What makes Gayfemboy unique
🔹 New capabilities observed in the wild
🔹 Mitigation recommendations you can take home
Expect a mix of analysis, real-world insight, and maybe a few chuckles at the name.
