About Event

This is a member-led event and not sponsored by Obsidian.

Most of us have years of notes, drafts, journals, client material, and saved reading scattered across apps, devices, and physical archives.

For a long time, capture was the hard part — getting the material into a system, keeping it organized, finding it again when it mattered. With AI models now able to read large bodies of material in context, the bottleneck has moved — from collecting to actually using what we've kept.

In this session, AI educator Stephen Ghigliotty opens his own vault — a decade of journal entries imported into Obsidian, augmented by Claude — and walks through what's actually changed. How he set it up. How AI shifts the daily practice. Where it works, where it doesn't, what's oversold, and what genuinely matters.

What is Obsidian?

A tool that lives on your device and holds your notes, ideas, and research in a way that actually connects them. You write something once, and it stays findable, linkable, and yours.

Who is this for?

Anyone. You do not need a system already in place, a notes app you swear by, or a reason you think this applies to you. If you have ever felt like useful information passes through you and disappears, this is worth your time. Observers are just as welcome as participants.

About Stephen Ghigliotty

Stephen is an AI educator and learning designer with two decades building professional learning programs across the US and Canada. He co-founded ME+ai, an AI-in-marketing community that grew to 630+ members across 30+ expert sessions.

He co-leads AIC's Space Coast chapter, is co-developing an applied AI course at Toronto Metropolitan University's Chang School, and writes on AI and education at Along the way... on Substack.

What is Humans in AI Week?

Humans in AI Week is a global decentralized conference happening in over 100 cities across 50+ countries, June 1-7, 2026. It asks one question: what does it mean to be human in the AI era?

Events range from panel discussions to art installations to community gatherings, all exploring humanity’s relationship with artificial intelligence.

The AI Collective is a global non-profit building the human layer for the AI era. We unite 200,000+ leaders, builders, and stakeholders across 100+ forums worldwide to democratize the frontier, build trust, and coordinate how society navigates the rapid acceleration of technological progress.
