Built to Scale: From MedTech to Smart Manufacturing — AI and Technology in the Real World
As part of a special edition of Built to Scale during the week of Maker Faire Prague, this event brings together founders, investors, engineers, operators, and innovators to explore how AI and technology are reshaping healthcare and manufacturing.
We will start with a fireside chat Tobias Vybíral, CEO of HTG Medical, a Prague-based MedTech startup focused on automating one of the last manual vital signs in intensive care: urine output monitoring.
HTG Medical is building certified medical devices designed to improve workflow efficiency and patient safety in critical care. This conversation will explore what it takes to turn a real hospital problem into a scalable product, how clinical partnerships shape development, and what makes MedTech different when product, engineering, regulation, and go-to-market all need to work together from the start.
In the second part of the evening, we will host a fireside chat with Michal Šmída from RockawayQ, a technology-driven investment fund focused on accelerating the digital and AI transformation of manufacturing companies.
RockawayQ invests in B2B companies working in digitalisation, automation, robotisation, and advanced AI technologies for the manufacturing sector. In this conversation, we will explore how AI is changing factories, what opportunities investors see in industrial tech, and what founders should consider when building solutions for real-world operations.
This event is designed for people who want to better understand where industrial and healthcare innovation is going, how founders and investors are approaching high-impact sectors, and what opportunities are emerging at the intersection of hardware, software, AI, and real-world operations.
Startups are also welcome to join a short pitch session to get feedback from investors and attendees. It is a valuable opportunity to share what you are building, sharpen how you present it, and gain practical outside perspective from people working close to technology, investment, and innovation.
