Join us for the next edition of our monthly AI Philosophy Nights where we attempt communal sense-making.

Each month, we will bring together philosophers, historians, technologists, and social scientists for a high-level fireside chat, followed by small-group salon style discussions.

This Session: The Post-Productive Human

In this session, our founder Banu Kellner sits down with Tony Kashani, a philosopher of technology and cultural critic, to discuss the transformation of value creation and it's implications on power, agency and meaning.

The historical deal of capitalism that labor entitles us to a share of power and survival is dissolving. As AI decouples wealth from human effort, the traditional leverage of the citizen vanishes. We will interrogate the vacuum left behind and what it means for being human.

6:30-7:00pm Doors Open. Drinks & delicious bites will be served. Doors will be closed at 7pm.

7:00-8:00pm Fireside Chat. Banu &Tony will examine the post-productive human through the lens of critical theory

8:00-9:00pm Small Group Discussions. Break into small-group conversations to grapple with these questions together.

9:00-9:30pm Whole Group Conversation. We will come back together to share insights and further questions.
