StoryTell 10/14: Trust
Join StoryTell for a special evening of music, connection, and personal storytelling.
For this one-of-a-kind event, stories shared will be accompanied by live improvised piano played by Charlie Levine 🎹
Immerse yourself in story and song on the theme of "Trust".
What is trust and how do we cultivate it? How do we repair trust when it’s broken? Share about a time you trusted someone to see you at your worst. When was a moment you trusted in yourself, regardless of what others said? When have you questioned listening to your gut? Describe a time someone's small act made you trust them deeply. Tell us about trust that was broken and rebuilt. What was the first small thing that let you try again? Can we take risks without trust? Or is it the act of risk-taking that allows us to develop trust?
What to expect:
🗣️ Part conversation! We'll get intellectual in small group discussions, expanding on our deeper feelings, emotions, and perspectives around our theme.

📖 Part storytelling! Feeling inspired by our conversation and have a story to share? We'll be sharing true, personal stories based on a moment you went through.
For this special StoryTell, each story will be accompanied by improvised live piano, responding to the arc and essence of your story.
Stories are optional, open to anyone, and are limited to 5 minutes.
This is a low-stakes opportunity to share your story with a warm, open community in a "campfire stories" setting.

Charlie Levine is an improv pianist, typewriter poet, and acrobatic partner dancer. He's made on the spot music for talks at the World Economic Forum, acrobatic partner dance at House of Yes, and typewriter poetry at weddings, art shows, and conferences across the country.
Lightning Society is a cultural playground for the intellectually adventurous in the heart of SoHo, where curiosity meets culture and gatherings become generators.
