​Zero to Demo is a free, beginner-friendly Bay Area hackathon where you’ll turn an idea into a working project using AI. First-time builders, creatives, developers, and engineers are all welcome. No prior coding experience is required.

​Come solo or bring a team. You’ll experiment with tools, build around an idea that interests you, and share what you made in a demo at the end of the event.

​What you can build

​Choose one of four tracks to give your project a direction.

​Automate
Make everyday tasks easier with AI agents, personal assistants, or workflow tools. Build something that handles the work you’d rather not do, such as organizing your schedule or keeping track of follow-ups.

​Impact
Build something that addresses a real need in education, accessibility, sustainability, or your community. Think of a problem you’ve experienced or seen firsthand, and create a tool that helps.

​Create
Use AI to make something interactive: a game, a storytelling tool, a music project, or another creative experience. This track is for exploring what you can make, not just what you can automate.

​Frontier
Experiment with voice agents, robotics, tools that work with images and audio, or new ways to interact with technology. Try an unconventional idea and see how far you can take it.

​The demo

​Build toward something you can show. A focused project with one working feature is a stronger starting point than a long list of unfinished ones.

​Your demo is a chance to explain your idea, show how it works, and share what you learned along the way.
