About Event
This talk invites you to reach back into the 20th century to explore ideas becoming more useful today. We'll follow a thread from semantic layers in data analytics, to the roots of agent based modelling. From there we tread into semantic information theory, where researchers in theoretical biology show that autonomous agents need to find "meaning" in their environment to succeed.
This concepts are woven into Semiosis, a new repo for evaluating context systems using SIT: https://github.com/AnswerLayer/semiosis
