VAM! AI Reading Group: Paper Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM)
βNaveen will present Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM) paper.
βπ Paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2506.21734
βTo maximize engagement, please try to read the paper in advance.
βPaper 3-line Summary: The Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM) is a compact recurrent neural architecture, with just 27 million parameters, designed to enhance AI reasoning by mimicking the brain's hierarchical processing of abstract planning and detailed execution.
βTrained on only 1,000 samples, HRM outperforms larger language models on benchmarks such as the Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus, demonstrating efficient, stable pathways toward general-purpose reasoning systems.
