About Event

This week, President Trump and President Xi are meeting in Washington, with AI emerging as a major issue in the broader U.S.–China competition.

Join the Georgetown AI Association (GAIA) from 5–6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, in ICC 103 for a conversation with Sam Bresnick (Center for Security and Emerging Technology) and Georgetown Professor Ryan Fedasiuk (American Enterprise Institute) on what came out of the Trump–Xi summit.

– What exactly are the two countries competing over?

– Where does each side have an advantage?

– What risks does this competition create?

– And what, if anything, can Washington and Beijing agree on?

Whether you follow China and AI policy closely or are just curious about what happened at the summit, we’d love to have you join us!

Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
