Can AI help nonprofits fundraise?
Doors open at 6 p.m.; programming starts at 6:30 p.m.
Giving season means a lot of work for nonprofit teams: writing appeals, reaching donors, processing gifts, and keeping track of it all. Where can AI help—and how do you use it without losing the personal connection that makes people want to give?
Join Aboard for a conversation with Allison Fine of Every.org, Dr. John Brothers of Candid, and Jeffrey Klein of The Center about practical ways nonprofits can put AI to work during their busiest fundraising season. We’ll discuss where to start, what deserves a human’s attention, and how to tell whether a new tool is actually helping. Along the way, we’ll consider donor privacy, staff capacity, and how time saved on administrative work could become time spent building relationships.
Aboard’s head of product, Chris Sassine, will introduce the discussion, which will be followed by an audience Q&A. Afterward, stay for food, drinks, and conversation with the speakers and fellow attendees.
About the speakers:
Allison Fine is president and CEO of Every.org, a nonprofit giving platform that accepts nearly all forms of cash and non-cash assets and is itself a nonprofit. An author and longtime leader at the intersection of technology and social good, she co-wrote The Networked Nonprofit and The Smart Nonprofit: Staying Human-Centered in an Automated World with Beth Kanter.
Dr. John Brothers is interim president and CEO of Candid, a nonprofit that connects people working for social good with data, information, and resources. He previously led the T. Rowe Price Foundation and T. Rowe Price Charitable. His career spans community organizing, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and teaching management and social policy.
Jeffrey Klein is chief operating officer of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center in New York City. The Center provides recovery and wellness programs, youth support, advocacy, arts and cultural programming, and space for community organizing, connection, and celebration. Jeff brings the perspective of a community-serving nonprofit to a discussion about what it takes to introduce new tools while keeping an organization’s people and mission at the center of its work.
