Seminar: Creating a safer internet with Dr. Kay

​Blacksky Algorithms is creating a safer internet rooted in self-determination and self-governance. Through this work, we have created a moderation tool that combats misogynoir and anti-blackness. Our focus on being able to mitigate harm for the most marginalized has led to our creation of Acorn, which will empower communities to build and moderate on their own terms. In this Seminar, Dr. Kay, the Community Safety and Support Steward at Blacksky, will talk about how they moderate, what has been foundational for this tool, and share information about Acorn!
