Workshop #2: Application & Market Risk

​Evaluate potential applications/markets and clearly articulate your technology’s value proposition and competitive advantage. We will pair you with VCs, consultants, or Search & Evaluation leads in the biotech industry.

​Teams enter the workshop having refined the description of their technology, outlined the problems they are working to solve, articulated their technology’s unique value proposition, and defined key PoC experiments. The Application & Market Risk Workshop will allow you to:

• ​Work with experts to learn how investors put companies into a competitive context to understand what makes them unique, and whether that makes them investable.

• ​Think through the indication/application selection process based on your technology’s unique properties.

• ​Engage in a challenging discussion and understand any weaknesses in your plans

• ​Gain some insights on how entrepreneurs tell a clear story to life sciences investors

​Teams prepare and present an outline of their intended application/indication within the context of the broader market and competitive landscape, and in relation to their value proposition. Experts will also challenge teams on the pairing of their technology with their initial market, and why other competitors won’t be able to do the same thing better.
