About Event

Codex Community Mini-Hackathon, San Francisco With Guest Judge from OpenAI / OpenAI Codex

Important note!!!

Please come prepared with a ready idea, product concept, or pitch. There will be no dedicated coding time during the event.

If you do not have a team yet, you will have about 30 minutes at the event to meet people and form a team.

Before pitches begin, each team must submit an application through the QR code.

Pitch session starts at 6:00 PM.

Each team will have:

  • 2 minutes to pitch

  • 2 minutes for Q&A

  • 1 slide maximum

Recommended pitch structure:

  • Start with a one-sentence pitch

  • Present your main pitch

  • Finish with one strong one-sentence summary

Please keep your pitch short, clear, and focused.

Join us in San Francisco for a fast, high-energy Codex Community Mini-Hackathon designed for builders, founders, engineers, creatives, operators, students, and curious people who want to explore how ChatGPT and Codex can help people build faster.

This is a 2.5-hour community-style mini-hackathon, not a long traditional hackathon.

The goal is simple: meet interesting people, form connections, exchange ideas, build or present something practical with Codex, and pitch it in front of judges from the OpenAI / Codex and startup community.

A guest judge from OpenAI or OpenAI Codex will be announced soon.

Who Should Attend?

This event is open to everyone:

builders, founders, coders, non-coders, students, creators, and anyone curious about using ChatGPT and Codex to build faster.

No coding background is required.

However, because this is a very short mini-hackathon, we strongly recommend coming prepared with an idea, a rough concept, a small project, or a problem you want to solve.

If you want to create a project during the event, you will have only a short time to find a team and build something (about 30 min)

Important Rule

All teams must use ChatGPT and Codex during the hackathon. This event is focused on practical AI-assisted building using ChatGPT and Codex.

What to Expect

What to Expect

Expect a warm, interactive, community-driven evening with networking, short introductions, team formation, a fast Codex build sprint, project pitches, judge feedback, prizes, professional photos, and new connections.

!! This is not a passive event !!

Every attendee will be invited to give a short 30-second introduction, so everyone becomes part of the experience.

Please come ready to briefly share:

your name, what you do, what you are curious about, and what kind of project or team you would like to join.

You will leave with:

new contacts, fresh ideas, a better understanding of Codex, community energy, and a chance to win special prizes.

Join us for an evening all about Codex - OpenAI’s coding agent that helps you build and ship faster. Whether you’re already using Codex or just curious about coding agents, this is your chance to meet the team, connect with peers, and explore how AI is transforming the way we build software.
