What is Chinatown, really? A neighborhood, a symbol, a memory, a myth?
Join us for an afternoon of writing, reflection, and shared inquiry. This workshop invites you to explore San Francisco’s Chinatown through sensory memory, visual prompts, soundscapes, and storytelling. Together, we’ll write into the physical, emotional, and political layers of this place.
Whether you're drawing from personal history or imaginative fiction, this is a space to engage deeply with what Chinatown means—to you, and to the many lives that pass through it.
✍️ What to Expect:
Guided writing prompts and memory-based exercises
Visual and audio materials to spark inspiration
Time for solo writing and optional sharing
A cozy, community-led space with tea and snacks
🧰 What to Bring:
Your favorite pen & notebook (we’ll have extras too)
Curiosity and an open heart
Optional: A photo, object, or memory connected to Chinatown
✨ Open to all — no writing experience necessary.
RSVP to save your spot. Capacity limited.
We’ll email updates, materials, and a small reading folder before the event.
