Dinner With The Dead: A Día de Los Muertos Table
A three course Mexican dinner for the dead and the living, hosted by Tertulia Collective & Kori at Geist im Glas.
In Mexico, the dead come home in November. Families build altars of cempasúchil, candles, photos, and offerings. They cook the dishes their people loved, and pull up a chair for them at the table.
On Thursday 5th November we’re bringing that table to Geist im Glas, with a three course tasting menu drawn from the traditional Mexican kitchen. Alongside it, Geist’s bar team has created a curated menu of cocktails.
Expect an evening of remembrance, flavour and endless conversation. We will build an altar in the room. If you wish, bring a photo of someone you would like to remember, and a small offering of something they loved. They are welcome at the table too.

Chefs
Dominique is a Mexican-born chef behind Tertulia Studios whose work moves between food, art, design, and storytelling. Her approach to cooking treats the table as a site for conversation, not just consumption. Using food as a medium, she collaborates with artists, brands and creators to translate the intangible into sensory experiences.
Gjorgi is a Macedonian-German chef and the head chef behind Kori Berlin. Alongside savory cooking, he is also an exceptional baker and pastry chef with a love for hospitality and making things taste outrageously good. He brings warmth, flavor, and extremely strong kitchen energy wherever he goes. He is, quite simply, always serving.
Venue
Geist im Glas is a classic Neukölln Bar with great drinks and impeccable vibes.
FAQ
Is the menu vegan friendly?
Yes. Every guest chooses their main course when booking, according to their dietary preferences, and a vegan option is available.
What about other dietary needs?
The menu is mostly lactose free and gluten free. For any other restrictions or allergies, contact us before booking and we will do our best. We cook in a shared bar kitchen, so we can't guarantee that every need can be accommodated, or that dishes are free from traces of allergens.
Is there a non alcoholic option for the cocktail pairing?
Yes. Geist's bar team has created a non alcoholic pairing for each course, and your included first drink can be from either menu.
Do I need to bring something for the altar?
Not at all. If you'd like to, bring a photo of someone you want to remember (a copy you're happy to leave) and a small offering of something they loved. If you don't have either, there will be cards at the altar where you can write a name.
What if I arrive late?
Doors open at 19:00 and dinner is served at 19:30. Please arrive on time, as the courses are served together for the whole table.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non refundable, but they are transferable. If you can't make it, send us the name of the person taking your seat.
How do I pay for drinks?
The bar accepts both card and cash.
