Open Doors at University of Latvia
As a continuation of the Innovation Impact Forum 2026, the University of Latvia invites selected participants to join the Deep Tech Atelier side vent Open Doors at UL — an exclusive side event designed to provide a first-hand insight into Latvia’s deep tech ecosystem and research excellence.
The programme will begin with a Strategic Meeting on Potential Collaboration Opportunities (11:00–12:00) at the Innovation and Acceleration Centre of the University of Latvia (LU IAC). This session will bring together technology transfer experts, researchers, and innovation professionals to explore pathways for collaboration in research commercialisation, startup development, and industry partnerships. Participants will gain an overview of UL IAC’s role as a central hub for innovation, supporting the transformation of scientific knowledge into market-ready solutions through technology transfer, incubation, and acceleration programmes.
Following the meeting, participants will be invited to a guided tour of the University’s research infrastructure (12:00–13:00), offering direct exposure to cutting-edge laboratories and scientific capabilities across multiple disciplines. The tour will include visits to the Chemistry Department and the Department of Optometry and Vision Science at the House of Nature, as well as the Institute of Physics and the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy at the House of Science.
This immersive experience aims to foster meaningful connections between academia, industry, and investors, while highlighting the University of Latvia’s potential as a strategic partner in advancing deep tech innovation in the Baltic region.

Kā turpinājums Innovation Impact Forum 2026, Latvijas Universitāte aicina izvēlētos dalībniekus pievienoties Deep Tech Atelier blakuspasākumam Atvērto durvju diena LU - pasākumam, kas sniedz iespēju klātienē iepazīt Latvijas dziļo tehnoloģiju ekosistēmu un pētniecības izcilību.
Programma sāksies ar stratēģisko tikšanos par potenciālajām sadarbības iespējām (11:00–12:00) Latvijas Universitātes Inovāciju un akselerācijas centrā (LU IAC). Šajā sesijā tiksies tehnoloģiju pārneses eksperti, pētnieki un inovāciju profesionāļi, lai diskutētu par sadarbības iespējām pētniecības komercializācijā, jaunuzņēmumu attīstībā un partnerībās ar industriju. Dalībnieki iegūs pārskatu par LU IAC lomu kā centrālo inovāciju platformu, kas atbalsta zinātnisko zināšanu pārvēršanu tirgum gatavos risinājumos, izmantojot tehnoloģiju pārneses, inkubācijas un akselerācijas programmas.
Pēc tikšanās dalībnieki tiks aicināti uz ekskursiju pa universitātes pētniecības infrastruktūru (12:00–13:00), kas sniegs iespēju klātienē iepazīt modernākās laboratorijas un zinātniskās kapacitātes dažādās nozarēs. Ekskursijā paredzēti apmeklējumi LU Dabas mājas Ķīmijas fakultātē un Optometrijas un redzes zinātnes nodaļā, kā arī Zinātņu mājā – Fizikas institūtā un Atomfizikas un spektroskopijas institūtā.
Šī pieredze veidota, lai veicinātu jēgpilnas sadarbības starp akadēmisko vidi, industriju un investoriem, vienlaikus izceļot Latvijas Universitātes potenciālu kā stratēģisku partneri dziļo tehnoloģiju inovāciju attīstībā Baltijas reģionā.
