About Event

This Culture Global Stocktake (CGST) Consultation organized by various YOUNGO Working Groups is a virtual 90-minute gathering bringing together youth climate leaders, cultural practitioners, and policy advocates to explore how culture-based approaches can strengthen global climate action and governance.

The consultation forms part of the ongoing development of Draft 2 of the CGST, a multi-stakeholder initiative inspired by the UNFCCC Global Stocktake process that aims to integrate culture, storytelling, heritage, creative industries, and youth perspectives into climate policy and implementation.

Through breakout discussions and collective reflections, participants will contribute youth-led recommendations, policy insights, and case studies related to adaptation, ACE, just transition, climate education, intergenerational equity, and community resilience. The session also aims to strengthen collaboration across YOUNGO constituencies ahead of SB64, Bonn Climate Camp, London Climate Action Week, and future UNFCCC advocacy processes.

The consultation is open to youth climate organizers, artists, educators, storytellers, Indigenous and frontline youth leaders, negotiators, researchers, and anyone interested in advancing culture-based climate action.
