​🎤 Speaker: Carl Otto Schell
Carl Otto will talk about global health and the role of simple, high-impact interventions that can dramatically improve patient outcomes. His research focuses on global health, health systems, and critical care. He co-initiated the concept of Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC), a set of lifesaving care actions that can be implemented in any hospital ward worldwide, yet are often overlooked.

​In this session, Carl Otto will share why these interventions are neglected, what the consequences are, and how improving basic care can strengthen health systems and save lives globally.
