Textured Art: Canvas, But Make It 3D

​We'll create textured art: using modeling paste, palette knives, scrapers, and a few odd little tools to build raised patterns, shapes, and sculptural surfaces on canvas.

​We’ll kick things off with a quick demo of a few techniques, then you’re free to do your own thing! Not overthinking is highly encouraged. The idea is to give you enough inspiration to get going, then let you experiment. It’s easier than you think to make something that looks good.

• ​optionally adding more texture with gold flakes, beads, or string

​No experience needed! We’ll have plenty of materials to play with, and wine to give you the confidence to try something bold. Come solo or bring a friend, make something weirdly satisfying, and leave with a textured canvas you might actually put on your wall.
