"Maieutic Radio with Daniel Quinn", 25-yrs post-"9/11" & "Beyond Civilization"
"14 September, 2001", was also a Friday.
25-years ago, Ramey hosted Ishmael author Daniel Quinn on his "Maieutic Radio" show with KSUA, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks community radio station in College, Alaska.
The interview had been anticipated for some weeks;
Events of that previous Tuesday ("9/11"), with the particular uncertainty playing-out that week, that conversation could not have been better timed.
The last "International Polar Year" was 2007;
The next is upcoming with 2032-2033.
This year is not "2001".
If not segments of the recording from this "Maieutic Radio" show, we hope to have some clips & opportunities to hear recording of Daniel Quinn himself reading from "Beyond Civilization".
Participants are invited to join with curiosity & care.
"Radiolab" produced a show which also might be of some interest, related to 'paying attention to the particulars of any point-in-time', & the events of this week, "looking-back to look forward", such as any can, have & do,... https://radiolab.org/podcast/60-words
