Friday the 13th Hackathon
Five hours, one secret theme, and a lot of free food. Coding Club is running its first hackathon on Friday, November 13, and the theme gets revealed at kickoff, so come with a laptop and an open mind. Teams of up to 3, and you can form one at the door or ahead of time in the Discord. AI tools are allowed and encouraged, you just have to be able to explain what you built.
No experience needed and every major is welcome. If you can write a for loop, you can build something in five hours, and there will be experienced people in the room to help.
Three judges score every project on originality, technical work, presentation, and UI/UX. Prizes for the top teams, free food all day, and everyone leaves with a project for their GitHub. It is Friday the 13th, so expect the room to look the part.
