Stay Safe in Summer: Extreme Heat & Wildfire Smoke Preparedness

Hosted by the City of Bellingham

Join us on Thursday, July 24, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the City Hall Lobby for an informative and hands-on workshop focused on staying safe during extreme summer weather.

Presented in partnership with Erica Littlewood from Whatcom County Health and Community Services, this free event will provide practical guidance on protecting yourself and your household during extreme heat and wildfire smoke events.

Learn how to:

  • Prepare your home and stay healthy during wildfire smoke and heat wave events

  • Build your own affordable DIY air cleaner using a box fan and furnace filter

Whether you're a longtime resident or new to the area, this workshop offers timely, valuable tips and tools to help you and your loved ones stay safe and resilient this summer.

Drop by anytime between 11 and 2!
