The Power of Contribution: Finding Your Place in Open Source
You don't have to be an expert developer to contribute to open source. And you don't have to wait until you feel completely ready to get started.
As part of She Code Africa Port Harcourt's October theme, The Power of Contribution, this session will explore what open-source contribution really looks like, the different ways people can get involved, and how to find opportunities that match your skills and interests.
What we'll explore:
What open source is and why contribution matters.
Different ways to contribute beyond writing code.
How to identify projects and opportunities that fit your interests.
Common barriers beginners face and how to move past them.
Practical steps you can take after the session.
Come curious, bring your questions, and leave with a clearer idea of where you can begin.
Registration is free. We look forward to learning with you!
