Raizes do Futuro - A Gala Celebrating & Accelerating Youth Climate Action
The 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, represents a historic opportunity for global youth to shape the future of climate action. Young people are at the forefront of innovation, advocacy, policy, and community leadership in the fight against climate change—but they often lack access to spaces that foster meaningful collaboration, connection, and partnership-building across regions and sectors.
The Raizes do Futuro Gala aims to create an inclusive and inspiring environment for climate leaders of all ages to share experiences and build partnerships to accelerate youth climate solutions. This event is co-hosted by Youth Climate Collaborative, Global Youth Coalition, #Commit to Ocean, Faceta Conciente, and Young Scholars Initiative.
Objectives
Foster Connections:
Create an informal and welcoming space for youth and other attendees to network, make new friends, and find new collaborators.Amplify Youth Voices:
Highlight youth-led climate initiatives and build visibility for emerging leaders, primarily from the Global South.Celebrate Youth Leadership:
Recognize the creativity, resilience, and leadership of young people working toward a sustainable future, and provide a convening space for collective joy.
