AI for Science Summit in SF
Come join for this 125+ person summit bringing together scientists, lab automation engineers, developers, researchers, and science partners to discuss the latest of what's possible.
We've hosted a series of AI for Science Hacks (most recent), and we've found a big gap for hands on, practical talks to share best practices.
Software, hardware, and workflows are changing too quickly to not share the latest with the community.
This summit is split into two days:
Explore (Day 1): 20+ talks from leading founders, labs, and teams on the latest with time to connect with others.
Build (Day 2): A series of tracks for people to get hands on experience with software and hardware.
We'll also be sharing all of the videos online on YouTube after. We believe in opening up the insights for the latest to accelerate science for everyone.
Speakers
Daniil, Co-founder + CEO @ Onepot AI, is building AI-powered molecule synthesis to make drug discovery 2x faster. He'll speak on how LLM agents are transforming wet lab chemistry. They've raised $13M with participation from Khosla and Google's Jeff Dean (more here)
Kelli, Group Leader for Computational Physics @ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, leads the ICF Cognitive Simulation team using AI to predict nuclear fusion experiment outcomes before they run. Her work was recently published in Science Magazine, demonstrating how machine learning can forecast fusion ignition success with clear error bars—a breakthrough in "cognitive simulation" for complex scientific systems (Paper here).
Hongquan, Co-Founder + CEO @ Cephla, is leading a team building a new generation of open and more scalable bespoke microscopes to turbocharge large scale data production and help accelerate the development and adoption of new imaging-based technologies. Despite being a young startup, the Stanford spinout already has 100+ systems in leading academic labs, exciting startups and top pharma. They're also working towards helping bring AI powered diagnostics to all, starting with malaria (more here).
Luis Villa, Staff Automation Engineer @ Cellares, is building automated cell therapy manufacturing systems that scale life-saving treatments. He's also an organizer of the Bay Area Lab Automators community. With 12+ years in lab automation (including nearly a decade at Natera) and a UC Berkeley molecular biology background, he brings deep expertise in process development, modular frameworks, and low-level systems programming.
More TBA.

FAQ
Who is this for?
Scientists, lab automation engineers, developers, researchers, and science partners looking to hear the latest in what's possible.
Where should I stay if I'm visting?
This summit will be hosted downtown SF. Exact address to be confirmed. We recommend staying downtown by Embarcadero or near Union Sq. north of Market St.
Will talks be recorded?
All talks will be uploaded after the event to YouTube. One reason we're doing this is to open up more best practices to help accelerate science for everyone.
What's the refund policy?
Full refunds are available up to May 1st. After that, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
