"Seen and Heard" Navigating Modern video based Hiring with Ceemingly Inc.
This is a hands-on workforce readiness workshop designed to assist job seekers understand and adapt to today’s video driven hiring process.
Many qualified applicants are not being rejected due to lack of experience but because their applications never reach a human "reviewer" This workshop introduces participants to Ceemingly - a video-based hiring solution in King County and the newest partner for Workforce Development Council and WorkSource.
Participants that have their resume (as pdf format) are encouraged to have it available for the workshop and a pre-recorded video resume if available prior to class. (but not required) Bring your laptop to this interactive workshop! ****Laptops will be provided (limited quantity) for anyone who needs to utilize one and does not own one.
Participants will learn how to:
Understand how modern hiring systems screen candidates
Create a Ceemingly applicant profile (free)
Learn how to record a clear, professional video cover letter and video resume using basic equipment (such as a smartphone)
Learn how to communicate your skills, experience, and career goals confidently on camera
Align video presentations with their resume and what local employers look for when reviewing candidates
The session includes a live demonstration, step-by-step guidance using Ceemingly’s 59-second video resume framework and great interviewing tips. Time will also be reserved for F&A and participant support.
This workshop is designed to reduce barriers for all applicants including individuals impacted by limited access to technology and to support equitable hiring opportunities by helping job seekers present themselves beyond traditional resumes and connect directly with hiring teams at companies when applying.
