今回のハッカソンは、世界最高水準の効率性と性能を備えたマルチモーダル小規模言語モデル「LFM」を開発するMIT発スタートアップのLiquid AI、次世代のAI活用型ロールアップ企業を構築する東京拠点のパーマネントキャピタルファームであるWAY Equity Partnersが共同主催し、AMDおよびWeights & Biasesとのパートナーシップにより開催されます。
私たちは、日本の開発者が最先端の小規模言語モデルを活用し、実世界で使える本番品質のアプリケーションを開発・公開できる場をつくりたいと考えています。
This hackathon is co-hosted by Liquid AI, an MIT spin-off developing LFMs, the world's most efficient and performant multimodal small language models; WAY Equity Partners, a Tokyo-based permanent capital firm building the next generation of AI-enabled rollup companies; and in partnership with AMD and Weights & Biases.
Together, we want to create a space where developers in Japan can ship real-world production-grade applications powered by the most cutting-edge small language models.

LFMで“産業インパクト”を叩き出せ。
LFMsが“最適解”になる領域で使い、本気で業界の課題を解決しよう。つまり、現実世界の問題に対して、LFMだからこそ実現できる桁違いのインパクトを生み出すこと。
世の中には大小さまざまなモデル（オンデバイス、オンプレ、クラウド）がある中で、LFMsはパラメータあたりの性能と、計算＋メモリ効率でトップクラス。他では難しい課題にハマるのが強みです。例えば：
プライバシー／データ主権：データをデバイス外に出せないケース
低レイテンシ：ミリ秒単位が勝負になるユースケース
オフライン／省電力：クラウド往復が不可能な環境（現場作業、ウェアラブル、災害時など）
ドメイン適合：特化型LFM＋適切なプロンプトが、汎用巨大モデルを上回るケース
スケール時のコスト：APIコールを計算リソースに置き換えることで成立するモデル（常時稼働デバイス、映像フレーム処理、大量バックオフィス処理など）
決定性＆制御性：再現性や規制要件に対応（クラウドのSLAでは担保できない領域）
ハイブリッド構成も歓迎。オンデバイス＋クラウドのマルチモデル構成でもOK。ただし、LFMが不可欠なコア役割を担っていることが条件です。
チーム構成：1〜3人
提出物（詳細は当日に発表）：
審査員および来場者が実際に利用できる、LFMを組み込んだ動作可能なアプリケーション／ワークフロー。提供されるAMD Ryzen AI PC上にデプロイされ、Weights & Biasesで計測・可視化されていること。

Industry impact with LFM-powered applications/workflows
Use LFMs in applications/workflows where they are the best tool for the job and solve a major problem in industry. In other words, addressing real-world problems to create outsized impact only possible with LFMs.
There are many models, both big and small; on-device, on-prem, and in cloud. LFMs uniquely address issues few other models can with best-in-class performance per parameter and compute + memory efficiency. For instance:
Privacy or sovereignty - data cannot leave the device or your infrastructure.
Latency - when milliseconds matter.
offline, or energy-efficient - physical constraints a cloud round-trip cannot meet (field work, wearables, disaster zones).
Domain fit - a task-specific LFM with a targeted prompt beats a generic large one on your specific task.
Cost at scale - scenarios where trading API calls for compute cycles is the unlock (always-on devices, per-frame vision, high-volume back-office processing).
Deterministic and steerable output - reproducibility or regulatory requirements that cloud model provider SLAs don't cover.
Hybrid architectures are welcome. Multi-model on-device + cloud applications are valid as long as LFMs uniquely serve a critical, necessary role.
Team Size: 1 to 3 people
Submission Package(will be announced on day 1):
A working application/workflow embedded with LFMs, deployed on the provided AMD Ryzen AI PCs, and instrumented with Weights & Biases that can be used by judges and the audience

「なぜLFMなのか？」が明確かつ説得力があるか。日本の産業にどんなリアルなインパクトを生み出しているか。創造性＆デザイン
実装のユニークさ、発想の面白さ、設計の練り込み度。完成度＆クオリティ
ソフトウェアとプレゼン全体の仕上がり、実用性、磨き込み。リソース効率
低コスト・低レイテンシ・低消費電力。特にエッジや低コストデバイスで動く設計は高評価。
審査員＋オーディエンス投票により、トップチームを選出：
🥇 Gold Award（1チーム） - $3000
🥈 Silver Award（1チーム）- $2000
🌟 Special Award（3チーム）- コミュニティ表彰＋WAY × Liquid AI によるSWAGパック
All submissions will be evaluated on:
Fit to Challenge - "Why LFMs?" and what real-world impact are you creating in Japan industry?
Creativity & Design - uniqueness and thoughtfulness of implementation
Quality & Completeness - overall polish of software and presentation
Resource Efficiency - low-cost, low-latency, and/or low-energy consumption; bonus points for applications that can be deployed on edge or low-cost hardware devices
Our human judges + audience will select the top groups for:
