The Peace Particle Screening
Discover how science bridges global divides with a screening ‘The Peace Particle’, presented by the Swiss diplomatic missions in India in collaboration with CERN. Through a film and high-level panel discussion, the initiative explores how international scientific collaboration, open research and shared discovery can foster dialogue, trust and peace in an increasingly fragmented world.
At the heart of the event is The Peace Particle (2025), a documentary film that reflects on CERN’s 70-year legacy as a place where scientists from around the world come together to pursue fundamental research. Featuring interviews with Nobel laureates, rare archival footage and an inside look at the Large Hadron Collider, the film explores how scientific collaboration can transcend political boundaries and contribute to dialogue, trust and peace.
The screening will take place in Bengaluru on September 10, which will be followed by a conversation on the role of science diplomacy in addressing today’s global challenges.
