Climate Mind: Free Community Climate Cafe
In honor of Climate Week NYC, New York Multicultural Counseling is partnering with Project Eden to host Climate Mind, our very first free community climate cafe!
We are navigating unprecedented times as we witness the escalations of climate change. Many of us carry the weight of complex emotions and experiences related to the changes in our environment. And yet, many of us struggle to understand how to process, feel, or respond, especially with the demands of our day-to-day lives and responsibilities. This can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, helpless, and even alone.
If you're looking for a place to pause, unpack what you're experiencing, and figure out how to move forward when navigating the unknown, Climate Mind is for you.
We welcome anyone 18 and older to come join us for an afternoon dedicated to holding space for climate conversation, where we name and process eco-emotions, fostering community healing, expanding resilience, and moving towards turning anxiety into action as we face the global climate meta-crisis together.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Event is weather dependent and therefore date/time is subject to change.

About Facilitator:
Jehan Jamee is an NYMC Interning Mental Health Counselor and Project Eden Volunteer Member. She is currently completing training towards completing her Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and is available for individual psychotherapy services. Jehan is also completing training in Climate-Aware Therapy with the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America.
Jehan is not independently licensed and is practicing under close supervision at NYMC.
