Road2COP31 Munich: Together Beyond Fossil Fuels: Between Local Action, European Politics and new partnerships
Location: KHG an der TUM, Karlsstraße 32 80333 München
On 1 November 2026, Road2COP31 will make a stop in Munich. Under the title “Together Beyond Fossil Fuels: Between Local Action, European Politics and a New Global Initiative,” the evening will focus on pathways towards a fossil fuel phase-out.
A special guest will be Kumi Naidoo, President of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative, who will provide a global perspective on the transition away from coal, oil and gas and highlight the importance of strong alliances of frontrunners. At the heart of the discussion will be the question of how societal transformation can succeed despite resistance and tensions, and what role broad and powerful coalitions can play in driving change.
The event will also mark the launch of a new Munich alliance for a fossil-free future, which will support the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative, sending a strong signal in favor of a just and internationally coordinated phase-out of fossil fuels.
