Tangent is a not-for-profit incubator for unconventional entrepreneurs in Singapore. Our third cohort concludes on Friday 13/11. From 1200-1400h, our startups will spend 6 minutes each sharing what they did in their 4 weeks in Tangent, and what their next steps will be.
AITHENA: A legal back-office function for Singapore small businesses. AITHENA drafts and reviews contracts, tracks deadlines and compliance, and does KYC checks, with a human lawyer always just one message away. Built by Andre Wong, with Aaron Tan, Hariharan Mohanabala Krishnan, and Darrius Cheong.
Byzantium Labs: A risk layer for agentic payments that scores an AI agent’s payment history across providers, so platforms can cut fraud. Built by Josiah Khaw and Sizhe Liu.
CallBridge: A mobile app that lets d/Deaf, hard-of-hearing and non-speaking people make telephone calls themselves (including to existing hotlines requiring verification), by turning their typing into speech and the phone agent’s speech into live captions. Built by Cody Tan.
CORDY: A school portal for students’ activities, reflections and portfolio building with teachers’ guidance, designed to ultimately connect students and employers for the best fit. Built by Ray Wehn.
Curve Labs: Emotion AI and preference evaluation tools that make AI responses feel more natural to the people using them. Built by Jeremy Soo.
Framed.: An design-and-print service for photobooks that automatically sorts, crops, and lays out hundreds/thousands of user photos into book form, then prints and delivers the books to the buyer. Built by Hong Yi Lin, with Damien Foo.
LD Technologia: An all-in-one non-toxic compound (Bio-Z) that removes phosphates and nitrogen compounds from agricultural wastewater and other polluted waters. Built by Jaslyn Lee.
Personify: A done-for-you LinkedIn agency that turns founders’ stories into regular posts in their own voice. Built by Kelvin Kuok.
Pulspective: A digital wellness app for shift-based teams to track well-being and concerns more frequently and privately to improve employee retention. Built by Yong Han Tan, with Callista Ysabelle Magbitang and Remus Lim.
SeniorSays: A mobile app that records and transcribes conversations hands-free, so field workers can focus on interviewing the person in front of them, then hands the organisation back a finished, structured record. Built by Pradnya Nir and Kay T.
Shipy: A service that indexes and unifies communication platforms for SME ship brokers, making them agent-queryable, allowing for a 10x reduction in deal flow time without a new platform onboarding. Built by Rajvrat Thapliyal.
