Provocation Session #5
We’re diving deep into a topic our community voted for: how brands stay relevant in an era of noise, lightning-fast trends, and ever-rising expectations. From scrappy startups to storied icons, everyone’s asking: Is capturing attention enough, or do we still need a meaningful big idea people can believe in? Is strategy and deliberate thinking still critical, or is the game now more about creating, iterating, and learning fast?

Darren Cox joins to dicuss, as the former Global Marketing Director at Nissan and the architect behind one of the most disruptive ideas in modern motorsport.

Darren created Nissan GT Academy, the programme that turned gamers into professional racing drivers and proved that brands could build culture, not just run campaigns. The idea didn’t just sell cars — it changed motorsport, opening elite racing to people who had never set foot on a track.

The story was so powerful it was later told on the big screen, with Darren portrayed by Orlando Bloom in the Gran Turismo movie - make sure to watch it before, if you haven't already!

Join us for candid conversation, fresh perspectives, and yes some uncomfortable truths (in the best way). If you’re a brand leader or anyone fascinated by where culture meets brand, this session is for you.
