Dance Workshop with Sonya Stephen – Victoria Park

​Mudh is a contemporary dance project by Sonya Stephen that invites women from diverse cultural backgrounds to come together and explore the themes of nurture, belonging and home through the power of movement.

​Sonya is running ‘taster workshops’ for anyone interested to experience the project in a light, easygoing way. You’ll find out more about the type of dance used, meet the artistic team and hear more about the themes of the project. You do not need any dance experience to participate. This will be a combination of creative and contemporary movements inspired by your stories and your culture. We’re creating dance to suit your body and abilities.

​If you decide to participate further in the project, you will be invited through a series of workshops and creative processes. Mudh will culminate in a powerful performance in November 2026.

​This is more than just a dance project; it’s a homecoming. A coming together of women who recognize that no matter where we are, we carry our homes within us and together we can create a space where we all belong.
