One-Day Oil Portrait Workshop

​Learn to paint the human face in this intensive, one-day workshop led by artist Martha Lamont. Working from either a mirror or a personal photograph, you will begin the day mastering facial anatomy and proportions through guided sketching.

​Martha will then demystify colour theory, teaching you how to confidently mix a rich, diverse palette of realistic skin tones.

​Working from dark to light, you will learn to layer oil paints to create depth and form. Whether you want to explore an expressive, creative style or refine your skills in realism, this supportive day class offers flexibility and guidance to elevate your painting practice, regardless of your current experience level.
