Climate Circle Lisbon presents....Work on Climate.
We are a group of people that meet up once a month to learn, network and talk about all things climate. Join us at our next one in the Goethe Institute!
We have a slot for two speakers, a Q&A session on the subject in focus (Solar Energy), as well as a discussion circle and networking session at the end.
Meet the speakers:
Sara Freitas, PhD Sustainability Energy Systems, Policy and Technical Advisor at APREN. Sara is a solar energy enthusiast, passionate about integrated approaches to photovoltaics and agrivoltaics. Her PhD thesis focused on photovoltaic potential in building façades, thus specialising in photovoltaic systems modelling, mapping and optimisation in the urban environment. She also advises on policy for APREN (Portugal Association for Renewable Energies).
Devina Shah, Climate Expert at Rovensa and Research on Energy Justice. While Devina works full-time leading the climate strategy at Rovensa, an organisation producing bisolutions for agriculture, she also has a Masters in Climate Justice, with her recent research focused on energy transitions and justice for communities in rural Portugal through study of the large-scale solar park Fernando Pessoa in Alentejo. She will present her findings, that have implications for wider national and EU renewables policy, and will facilitate us to think more critically about large-scale projects.
