The Compass: Meaning - From Lens to Self Festival 2026
What makes something matter to you? Meaning often lives in ordinary things: an object, a place, a gesture or a detail that may seem unremarkable to anyone else.
In this Compass session, you will use photography to pause with what has value in your experience, looking beyond appearance and immediate usefulness.
Through guided exercises, you will choose and photograph everyday things, then explore what makes them significant to you. Your images will be a starting point for distinguishing what catches the eye from what genuinely deserves time, space and attention.
The reflection will help you recognise what you would like to bring back to the centre of your life. Bring a smartphone or camera.
