The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.Thursday March 19, 2026, as we celebrate Sunshine Week in the New Books Space of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street NW.

We promise 90 minutes of fun and engaging content all about transparency with confirmed speakers Kathy Patterson, D.C. Auditor and former D.C. Councilmember; Nate Jones of The Washington Post; and Jacqueline Johnson of Free DC., Darby Hickey, senior counsel, D.C. Justice Lab and more!. And there will be games: Wait, Wait Don’t FOIA Me, with unsettling FOIA officer responses!
