Inclusive Communities: Apollo JR x Social Spectrum
An Evening for Inclusive Communities
A collaboration between Apollo JR Mentorship and Social Spectrum
At Apollo JR, we believe presence comes before progress — and Social Spectrum embodies that. This isn’t just an event — it’s a gathering rooted in safety, connection, and shared humanity.
Social Spectrum is a platform for real people and real stories. It’s where mentors, families, participants, and community voices come together not to perform, but to belong. Together, we hold space for difference, dignity, and dialogue.
This evening isn’t about perfection or performance — it's about slowing down, listening deeply, and showing up for one another.
🎤 Featuring Three Powerful Community Voices
Joshua Ruff
A storyteller grounded in lived experience. Joshua brings honesty, vulnerability, and clarity to what it means to grow, learn, and be seen.
Julie Fisher
A respected advocate and parent who has spent years championing inclusion. Julie’s story reminds us how powerful family, understanding, and community support can be.
Archana Akhoury
A leader in inclusive practice. Archana offers a practical and compassionate lens on helping young people and families not just survive, but thrive.
Daniel Giles
Daniel is proudly Autistic and works tirelessly as an advocate for Autistic individuals and others with diverse needs. He was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2.5 years. Throughout his childhood, Daniel experienced delays in verbal communication and needed assistance with navigating the world around him, especially from a social and sensory perspective.
Each speaker offers a unique mirror into the meaning of community — helping us imagine what ethical, inclusive, and empowered spaces can look like.

🪷 Why It Matters
