🌀 Indigo Dream – Batik Workshop with Rainee 🌀 | Friday 6–8 PM
Have you ever experienced the calming magic of creating batik art?
Join NYC-based artist Rainee (@raineewang1116) for an intimate evening exploring the ancient and mindful art of Batik. Rainee learned these beautiful traditional wax-resist and natural indigo dye techniques while living with artisans in rural China. Her original batik series “Indigo Dreams (蓝梦)”, inspired by Li brocade patterns, natural forms, and feminine imagery, was recently featured at the UNESCO-backed Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in Chengdu.
Now at ROTOHAUS Studio in NYC, she's inviting a small group to craft their own indigo dreams—transforming ordinary fabric into deeply personal, symbolic art pieces.
In this relaxed, intimate 2-hour workshop you'll:
🎨 Design your own tote bag (and maybe a small scarf!) 🕯 Wax, dye, and a touch of magic. 🌿 No experience needed!
No previous art experience required—just your openness and creative spirit. 🎒 All materials provided
