Melbourne by Night Photography Workshop
3 Hours of Hands-On Coaching to Master Low Light and Long Exposures
If you’ve ever gone out to shoot at night and come home with soft images, blown highlights, or settings that felt like guesswork, this workshop is designed to fix that.
This is a small-group, hands-on session where you’ll learn exactly how to set up your camera, control light, and compose strong city images so you can confidently shoot in low light anywhere, not just in Melbourne.
This is not a casual photo walk. It’s guided instruction with constant feedback so you leave knowing how to repeat the results on your own!
What you will walk away with:
A simple, repeatable setup for sharp night images
Confidence using shutter speed, aperture and ISO without guessing
The ability to create clean long exposures and light trails
Stronger compositions using reflections, leading lines and city light
3–5 portfolio-worthy images from the session
A workflow you can use in any city, anywhere in the world
How the session runs:
We’ll shoot along Southbank, Princes Bridge, the Yarra and surrounding locations, working through composition, exposure, focusing in the dark and problem-solving in real time. I’ll be with you the entire session helping you dial in settings, refine compositions and understand exactly why each image works.
Who this is for:
Beginner to intermediate photographers using a mirrorless or DSLR who want to stop guessing and feel confident shooting at night.
Why learn this with me:
These are the same techniques I use in my professional work and international workshops. You’re learning a proven process, not random tips.
Group size and availability:
Spots are strictly limited to keep the session highly personal and hands-on. Once it’s full, it’s closed.
