​Welcome to the Nerves Meetup EU!

​​​We meet every month on the second Wednesday. All are welcome to join :)

​This month, we welcome Marc Lainez to present on his recent work on saving devices from the landfill, by porting them to support Nerves.

​​​About

​Marc is an experienced software developer and product manager. In 2013, he co-founded Spin42 with Loïc Vigneron and Thibault Poncelet after several years of freelancing. Together they built Ibanity in 2016, a financial institution aggregation platform written in Elixir, which was sold the following year.

​After more than seven years working in the financial industry with Elixir, he and his partners also built “The Nerves Car”: a functional vehicle platform powered by Nerves, based on a 2007 Volkswagen Polo converted into a full-size remotely drivable electric vehicle using Elixir and Nerves. Since then, he has developed an unusual hobby of porting Nerves to various Android devices he happens to have lying around.

​​​Format

​​​The first 10 minutes of the meetup will allow for discussion around Nerves, and allow time for anyone with Nerves questions to get some help from the community. Afterwards, our speaker will present for 30 minutes. Following the presentation, there will be time for questions, as well as a social "hour"!
