The devil in your pipeline: Bad security advice, useless tools, and delivery f*ups
Strong product security doesn’t just protect systems, it can save companies costs and spare business leaders a great deal of unnecessary worry.
We invite you to join us for a panel discussion featuring three product security engineers with experience across a broad range of organizations. They’ll share their perspectives, real-world stories, and practical advice you can apply in your own environment. The conversation will be moderated by Miroslav Horáček (Staff Security Engineer & Interim Engineering Manager at Mews).
This panel will explore the messy, and humorous side of security, from production-breaking “fixes” and useless compliance tasks to dusty shelf-ware tools and cringe-worthy code. We’ll share stories, bad advice, and lessons learned while discussing how team culture and security champions can keep security effective without becoming the “department of no.”
Panelists:
Davinci Lisapaly (Senior Security Engineer, Mews)
Marek Šottl (CTO & Founder, HackiHub)
Petr Heřmánek (Senior Application Security Engineer, Gen Digital)
Agenda:
18:00 Doors open
18:30 Panel discussion + Q&A
19:30 Networking
As we count down to the event, take a moment to listen to our Mews R&D Mini podcast, where Engineering Manager Roger Ribas offers an inside look at the Product Security team at Mews.
