Scaling Without Borders: Building a Global Startup from the UK

​A curated side event at London Tech Week bringing together founders: both UK-based and visiting to explore what it really takes to build and scale startups in the United Kingdom. The session focuses on practical, operator-led insights into navigating the differences between the Nigerian and UK startup ecosystems, from product and customers to hiring, fundraising, and go-to-market execution.

​This event is delivered in collaboration with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, supporting broader efforts to strengthen international innovation exchange and deepen connections between global startup ecosystems. Their involvement reflects a shared interest in enabling founders to better understand and operate within the UK innovation landscape.

​It is also supported by the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI) Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation, whose mission is to enable Nigerian startups and founders to access global opportunities and scale internationally. ONDI’s participation helps ensure strong engagement from Nigerian founders and reinforces its role in building bridges between Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem and global markets.

​The programme will include a main session, interactive breakout discussions, and an evening mixer with founders, investors, and ecosystem operators across both regions.
