✍️ WORKSHOP [FREE]: Prep Your Novel — And Get Ready to Write in November w/ Anna Wilson
Prepping and planning your book doesn’t have to be painful or dull. It can and should be playful and inspiring.
Creative writing tutor and writer Anna Wilson has published over 60+ books. In short, she knows a thing or two about outlining. In this hands-on workshop, she’ll help you put together a joyful, messy first outline of your story.
Through a series of creative prompts, Anna will guide you to explore your characters, setting, and plot — which is the best way to start crafting a first, imperfect outline that feels alive.
In 60 minutes, you will start to:
Understand how to overcome writer’s block
Understand your main character’s needs
Build the setting for your fiction or creative non-fiction project
Generate key action points for your main character
Understand what you need to start your November writing project
Come with the seeds of your idea, leave with a better understanding of the direction of your story, and start to dream big for your book.
End of Workshop Bonuses!
At the end of the workshop, you’ll get access to essential craft resources to use for November
And a special invitation to join our 4 x daily Writers’ Hour - a silent writing session to help hold you accountable and get your story moving, day after day.
This November, let’s bring your story to life.
About Anna Wilson
Anna Wilson’s writing has been inspired by the natural world ever since she first started keeping a journal as a child. Her grandmother’s garden was a refuge where many of her first stories were created. Since then she has written over 60 books for both adults and children, many of them inspired by her love of animals and the countryside - in particular her love of Cornwall where she lives.
Her children’s non-fiction titles include A Story of the Seasons (Nosy Crow and The National Trust, 2024), Grandpa and the Kingfisher, shortlisted for the Wainwright Nature Prize, 2023 (Nosy Crow, 2023) and Be Back Soon (Andersen Press, 2025). She has also published a memoir - A Place for Everything: My Mother, Autism and Me (HarperCollins, 2020). Anna has been a tutor for the Bath Spa MA: Writing for Children and Young People.
