Snake and Sip

​Join us this Friday for our first Snake and Sip - think “cat cafe” but with the cutest, friendliest baby ball pythons. Hang out with the @pythons_of_nyc, enjoy some tea (or start your Friday early with some Sake), and learn more about the current art exhibition at Fugue Gallery - ‘Forbidden Fruit’.

​Jason Melendez @pythons_of_nyc is a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2004. He believes in responsibile education and correcting misconceptions around exotic animals. He’s worked on countless of cases on a multitude of species ranging from the common house cat and dog, to tree kangaroos, parrots and rattlesnakes. He’s owned snakes for over 30 years; a wide range of species but all constrictors, either boas and mainly pythons. His current collection consists of 11 friendly snakes, 2 Lizards (gecko and a monitor), 2 birds, 3 mice, a Shih Tzu, a frog and a scorpion. When not helping save lives in the veterinary emergency and surgery world, you can find Jason and his snakes roaming NYC, and the Coney Island Beach and Boardwalk.
