Open Lakehouse and AI Meetup: Bellevue
Join Dremio x SAP for an evening of Apache Iceberg and open lakehouse talks in Bellevue. One hour of focused technical talks, then one hour of food, drinks, and networking. Practitioner-first, no sales pitches.
Who should come: data engineers, architects and platform teams; Apache Iceberg, Apache Arrow and open table format practitioners; ML/AI engineers building on open lakehouse architectures; OSS contributors and community leads.

Featured Talk: From Thousands of Tables to an Ontology Graph: Building an AI Agent with PuppyGraph and Iceberg
AI agents increasingly need to understand relationships across thousands of enterprise tables, but traditional Text-to-SQL approaches struggle with complex, multi-hop relationships. In this talk, we will show how a PuppyGraph-powered agent automatically discovers entities, relationships, and semantics across thousands of tables to generate an ontology graph. PuppyGraph then queries the existing Iceberg data directly as a graph, without ETL, data migration, or creating a second copy of the data. We will demonstrate how this architecture enables AI agents for complex questions across large-scale enterprise data.
Speakers: Alex Merced, Dremio, a leading educator on Apache Iceberg and the open lakehouse ecosystem; and PuppyGraph.
Venue: Tavern Hall, 505 Bellevue Square, Bellevue, WA 98004.
