Birding at San Dieguito Lagoon

​We'd love to invite you to join us at San Dieguito Lagoon for some peaceful morning birding. Meet us on the coast where we'll see shorebirds, swallows, herons, and hopefully lots more.

​San Dieguito is a leisurely walk around the lagoon. The Coast to Crest Trail at the San Dieguito Lagoon is a flat, wide path, but it features natural dirt and gravel surfaces that may require all-terrain or adaptive mobility equipment. Wear closed toed shoes and sun protection, but don't worry about hiking gear. If you have binoculars, a scope, or a camera, bring them! Feel free to also bring field guides and/or your Merlin app :)

If you're brand new to birding, you're absolutely welcome to join. You'll be led by experienced birders and questions and curiosity is always welcome.
