🚀 This fall, the Schulich School of Business and the Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, bring you a historic conversation at the intersection of science and entrepreneurship.
Christian Weedbrook is the Founder & CEO of Xanadu Quantum Technologies, a global leader in photonic quantum computing. A physicist by training and entrepreneur by instinct, Christian has spent the past 20 years advancing quantum technology through his work across academia, government, and industry.
Under his leadership, Xanadu has become one of the world’s leading quantum computing companies. In March 2026, Xanadu went public on both the Nasdaq and TSX as XNDU, and now has a market capitalization of $4B+ CAD.
The company is charting the path to build the world's first large-scale quantum computing data centre that specifically leverages light-based technology that could dramatically reduce energy and cooling requirements and enable more compact, energy-efficient data centres (target 2029).
The evening will open with Christian's keynote, sharing the journey of building Xanadu Quantum Technologies from scratch and his mission to redefine Canada’s role in space and dual-use technology.
